book review " fifty shades darker " by E.L James

The Fifty Shades Trilogy by EL James has had many people on their toes over the past few months. Why?

Honestly, I guess there are quite a few answers that could be given, but overall, I keep asking myself the same thing...WHY??

Just like with Fifty Shades of Grey I'm still not sure what to think of this series. The thing is, is some ways I somehow understand why women are loving this series. But then at the same time I can't help but feel disgusted!

Women want to be taken seriously. They want their independence, they want to have the same, and equal rights as men, but at the same time they want to feel loved, protected, and taken care of by their loved one. I get it. I do. I know I want that one day.

But there is just so much WRONG with Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey's relationship.

After the cliffhanger ending of Naked, we immediately find ourselves in the aftermath of Brynne’s discovery of how Ethan came to enter her life. Brynne has not only left Ethan, she refuses any contact with him altogether, hurt by his deception and omission to tell her the truth.

book review " Reflected in you " by Slyvia day

Any worries I had about Reflected in You, the second book in Sylvia Day's thrilling, exciting, emotionally draining Crossfire Series, being in any way inferior to Bared to You (the first book in the series) were firmly laid to rest. Reflected in You is quite simply spectacular. I could not put this book down and ended up reading it twice in three days. This beautiful, damaged couple experienced some blissful highs and some heartbreaking lows. They take the reader on a exhilarating yet emotionally draining roller coaster. The continuing odyssey of Gideon and Eva got even more erotic, obsessive, raw, and emotional in Reflected in You. The story begins the morning after the last chapter's events in Bared to You. Reflected in You opens with Gideon Cross and Eva Tramell getting ready for work the morning after Eva left Gideon at the charity event. They're happy and playful. It's wonderful because these moments are so rare for them. Over morning coffee, Eva tells Gideon she and her bestie, the beautiful and charming Cary Taylor, need some one-on-one time so she can't accompany Gideon on a business trip to Arizona because they have planned a getaway. After a little resistance Gideon relents and doesn't fight Eva on her decision-- as long as they fly there on his private plane and stay in one of his hotels. Gideon goes on a business trip to Arizona and Eva and Cary go to Vegas. It's surprising –and a little out of character– for Gideon to acquiesce so gracefully, but he manages to compensate for his reluctant concession. As a man is hitting on Eva at Gideon's Vegas Hotel bar when she's getting drinks for her and Cary...

book review "Walking Disaster " by JamieMcGuire

In my my review of Jamie McGuire's amazing Beautiful Disaster, I said in it was like crack. Well, her spectacular sequel, Walking Disaster, is a speedball of cocaine and heroine combined! I was euphoric, angry, depressed, insanely happy, and I was beyond addicted! Travis Maddox's scarred psyche + a deep soulful love + maintaining that love through sheer force of will = the trifecta of amazingness! There were some seriously painful moments but they were brilliantly balanced with moments of pure hilarity. There were so many LMAO moments I'm sure I did permanent damage to my stomache muscles because of laughing so hard and so often. Being in Travis' head was painful, fascinating, and funny as hell! This boy's psyche needs to be in the Louvre – because it's a work of art!

After spending sixty seconds in the pigeon's presence, I discerned two things: she didn't talk much, and when she did she was kind of a bitch. But I don't know... I kind of dug that about her.

Seeing Abby sit across the table, cranky and annoyed, cheered me right up. 

 The door slammed, and Shepley's shoulders tensed. Those moments bothered him. I, on the other hand, had a shrew [Abby] to tame..."
